Public has invited to submit Royal Photographs for exhibition in Kensington Palace

Kensington Palace is inviting public to submit their own pictures to place alongside some of the most famous royal photographs. Royal photographers like Paolo Roversi, Cecil Beaton and Harry Winston have captured iconic shots of the young Queen.

The Palace’s Life Through a Royal Lens show will debut in March.It is seeking public submissions of pictures of the royal family shot by members of the public. If you or someone you know had the opportunity to meet the royals, this may include photos from a royal walkabout. For the exhibition, curators will choose up to 20 pictures to show alongside works by well-known royal photographers throughout history.

This will be a first time to include the public in an exhibition at Kensington Palace. There will be a great deal of excitement when photos contributed from royal travels across the world narrow down to a select specific number. Welcome to the royal photography. You will learn about the fascinating history that lies behind one of modern monarchy’s most enduring images.

The only requirements for submitting royal photographs are that they were shot during an official appearance. The person submitting them is at least 18 years old. Event will open on March 4, 2022, included with entrance to Kensington Palace. You have until January 31st to enter.
