Police reportedly arrested Reshma’s 33-year-old neighbor. In a note, the woman said she lost her in-laws and spouse due to the COVID19. She also blamed her neighbors.
Police filed a Suo Motu FIR against her neighbors for encouraging her suicide based on the note. An elderly couple and their son Shadad Khan were charged. Tuesday night, Shaded was arrested.
Reshma’s husband, Sarat Mulukutla, worked as the chief business officer for an online agricultural trade platform, according to Sakinaka police. Before his death, Sarat visited his infected parents in Varanasi.
Sarat was also infected. His parents died, then he did on May 23. Reshma couldn’t attend her husband’s funeral, so she lamented on social media.
She wrote that her neighbors tormented her. Her neighbors had complained about her and her son to police and society members, she wrote. Her neighbor complained about her son’s dance loudness.
