Former Minister Rehman Malik welcomed the rejection of a proposal by the Economic Coordination Council by the Federal Cabinet to lift a ban on imports of sugar and cotton from India.
“It is good that the government is immediately aware of public opinion and reaction to Wednesday’s decision,” he said in response to the cabinet’s decision to withdraw the ECC’s proposal to lift a ban on imports of sugar and cotton from India to be rejected.
