Chinese smartphone maker Realme shared plans to launch 5G-enabled phones in Pakistan at affordable prices.
Realme Regional Marketing Director Sherry Dong stated that the brand had a positive response in Pakistan, therefore the business is now prioritizing the nation for the introduction of 5G mobile phones.
She went on to say that the firm was the first in Pakistan to sell over a million smartphones in less than a year, which was a significant milestone that cleared the door for additional investments and the launch of various goods.
She stated that the business intended to establish a local assembly line for its products, after which top-tier technology will be offered in Pakistan at reasonable rates.
A few years ago, Oppo Mobile Telecommunications also showed its interest in launching a mobile assembly plant in Pakistan.
Giving more details, she said the factory would have two separate assembly lines – one for each brand.
Realme will provide 5G-enabled mobile phones as well as other artificial intelligence (AI) devices at cheap rates thanks to a specialized production line.
“5G is the future, so we have to provide up-to-date technology products to Pakistani consumers at affordable prices,” she added.
Sherry went on to say that while digital platforms in Pakistan have grown in recent years, they still trail behind those in other nations in the region.
She stated that the firm experienced some difficulties with Pakistan Customs due to a delay in the discharge of shipments, which resulted in a scarcity of its items.
