A blast near Science College on Jinnah Road in Quetta on Thursday night resulted in the deaths of at least four individuals and the injuries of at least 15 more.
In accordance with police reports, a meeting of Jamiat-i-Ulama (Nazreeyati) came to a close moments before the explosion occurred.
Participants in the meeting were Maulana Qadir Loni and other religious and political leaders.
On the instruction of the chief minister, Zia Lango, Advisor to the Balochistan Chief Minister on Interior, visited the blast site and the hospital, where he inquired about the condition of the injured and directed hospital authorities to leave no stone unturned in providing the best possible treatment to the victims of the blast.
The advisor was also informed about the explosion by higher-ups in the police department. In accordance with the directives of the Balochistan chief minister, Langu requested that the police evaluate the security plan.
At the end of his speech, he swore that the terrorists responsible for this terrible murder would be brought to justice at all costs.

Earlier, in a press conference, DIG Fida Hassan Shah, who had inspected the blast site, stated that the blast occurred at the gate as soon as the Jamiat-i-Ulama (Nazriyati) program came to a close. He said that the explosion was the result of a remote-controlled explosive.
