A member of Qatar’s ruling family praised Pakistan’s contribution to preventing conflict in the region and expressed a desire to enhance bilateral cooperation between Islamabad and Doha.
Sheikh Ali Bin Abdullah Thani J. Al Thani, chairman of the Pakistan-Qatar insurance company Takaful and a member of the Qatari royal family, made the remarks during a meeting with the General Chief of Staff of the Army Headquarters (COAS), according to an Inter-Ministerial Public Relations Statement (ISPR) on Wednesday Qamar Javed Bajwa‘s Office.
During the meeting, issues of mutual interest, the situation with regional security, including recent developments in the Afghan peace process and bilateral cooperation in various fields were discussed.

In recognition of the positive development of Pakistan-Qatar relations, the army chief commended Qatar’s support for Pakistan in various fields.
In early March, the Commander of the Army of Qatar Emir, Major General Saeed Hassen Mohammad Al-Qayarin, appointed General Qamar Javed Bajwa to the General Staff (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
