Punjab made 300b through internal and external investment: Aslam

Punjab’s Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mian Aslam Iqbal, has stated that during the last three years, an estimated Rs 300 billion has been invested both internally and outside in the state of Punjab. The construction of new industrial estates in the Pakistani cities of Sialkot and Muzaffargarh has begun.

According to Mian Aslam Iqbal, the development work on the Bahawalpur Industrial Estate, the Chunian Eco-Business Park, and the Quaid-e-Azam Business Park Sheikhupura will be completed by 2022, with the exception of the Bahawalpur Industrial Estate, which will be completed by 2023.

Ali Moazzam Syed, the CEO of PIEDMC, was also in attendance during the meeting.

This was mentioned by him while speaking with Syed Nabil Hashmi, the Chairman of the Punjab Industrial Estate Development Management Company (PIEDMC), who paid him a visit here at his office on Friday afternoon.

During the meeting, Syed Nabel Hashmi provided the minister with a detailed report on the performance of PIEDMC during the previous three years.

It was revealed by him that local and foreign investment totaling Rs. 17 billion and Rs. 72 million dollars respectively have been made in industrial parks under the aegis of the PIEDMC in the last three years.

According to Mian Aslam Iqbal, the Buzdar government has transformed Punjab into a thriving center of business and industrial activity. Punjab’s industrial estates are attracting the attention of both domestic and international investors.
