PUBG Mobile Crossed 1 billion Downloads Worldwide since its Launching

Tencent announced that its popular shooting game, PUBG Mobile, has surpassed the 1 billion download mark. The number has been collected since it was first launched in 2018.

According to a Reuters report, this amount applies to all withdrawals outside of China. The Chinese Application Publishers achieved this huge success globally by launching a mobile version of this popular battle striking game where different player’s fight with last person in the game.

According to the company’s latest record, it’s right behind two other mobile game titles. This includes Subway Surfers from Kiloo Games and Candy Crush Saga from King Digital Entertainment.

Analyst Daniel Ahmad said that “PUBG Mobile, with 1 billion downloads, shows that the main game, in this case the AAA Battle Royale title, based on the IP of the computer of the same name, can reach the same size in the mobile space.”

In China, Tencent also has another mobile game called Peacekeeper Elite. This game is based on the fighting genre. There is also another hit title, Honor of Kings, which lifts from the MOBA genre. This was quite successful in China and abroad.

According to the report, the latest download data still lags behind the titles Subway Surfers by Kiloo Games and Candy Crush Saga by King Digital Entertainment.

Both games are easy to play and reach a wider audience. However, PUBG Mobile only intended for one category of gamers who enjoy FPP and auction games.

The achievement announced by Tencent after reporting an increase in online game sales by 29% in the last quarter of 2020. Sales increased due to the growth of paying consumers in China and internationally.

According to the company, Honor of King and PUBG Mobile are the top-rated games in China and the international market.

The report also indicated that the company plans to generate half of its revenue from gaming abroad. The company has opened LightSpeed   and Quantum Studios and a Timi studio in Los Angeles to “create original intellectual property content that appeals to the world.”

With the huge success of PUBG Mobile, Krafton recently announced a new title for the mobile battle king in the PUBG world. PUBG: A new status created in 2051, years after the original PUBG Mobile game.

It has futuristic weapons and vehicles. The PUBG version will launched on Android and IOS after this year

The three singles will also released alongside the remix version of BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU”. They can hear via PUBG’s Mobile Music feature, which was added earlier this month with Patch 1.3.
