PTI Leaders including Shibli Faraz Claim Pressure Tactics and Violence Against Imran Khan and Supporters

On Wednesday, Shibli Faraz, a senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), alleged that 78 cases were being used to put pressure on former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Shibli Faraz claimed that preparations were being made to attempt another assassination on Mr. Khan, and that PTI had solid evidence in this regard. Mr. Faraz said that the PTI chief was being subjected to false cases, and that they were lodged against him in various parts of the country.

However, Mr. Faraz said that the people were standing by Imran Khan, and that no amount of false cases could harm him. He added that staging rallies was a vital part of democracy, and that the PTI would continue to do so.

Earlier on Wednesday, Farrukh Habib, another senior leader of PTI, alleged that the peaceful PTI rally was being treated violently. He accused the police of injuring non-violent PTI supporters due to government pressure.

Mr. Habib added that due to the release of the election schedule, no one could stop Imran Khan from winning the elections. He urged supporters to join protests against the incumbent government at Zaman Park.
