The biggest telecom company in Pakistan, PTCL Group, gave a total of PKR 1.75 billion to help flood-damaged communities.
In addition to home loans for people who need to leave their homes. The package includes donations to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Free phone calls inside the affected areas, and other ways to help.
At the PTCL Group Health Centers, 13 doctors and 27 medical assistants will help people in 8 different places.
Ufone 4G has said that calls to flood-affected areas will be free. So people can talk to their families and get in touch with relief groups and the government. U.S. Microfinance Bank has recommended that flood victims get low-interest mortgage loans.
PTCL Group has also donated money to the Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund to help the government of Pakistan rebuild communities. This is on top of giving emergency help to large aid groups in Balochistan and Sindh. The PTCL Group will give to charity twice as much as its employees do.
President and Group CEO of PTCL & Ufone, Hatem Bamatraf, said, “Many people in Pakistan are having a hard time right now. One of the worst natural disasters in recent history has taken away most of their lives, homes, and ways to make money.
