PSL 2021 opening ceremony will be in the Istanbul, city of Turkey, media reported on Saturday. Turkey has brotherly relations with Pakistan.
Sources said PSL 6 singer Naseebo Lal, Aima Baig and Young Stunners will perform the song live in Istanbul. However they would fly to Turkey as well to perform the track live.
When asked to comment on the development of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), they neither denied nor confirmed the news.
Sources said the opening ceremony would not take place at the National Stadium, where it held last year, as the area has designated as a bio-secure balloon.
The recorded ceremony will broadcast on television screens on February 20.
PSL 2021 fixtures schedule
Matches will take place in Karachi and Lahore from February 20 to March 22.
According to the NCOC announcement, after in-depth discussions with health officials with the strict guidelines that have issued, it has decided that 20% of the audience will allow to enjoy PSL group games.
“The playoff review in March relates to the prevailing positive ratios,” NCOC said in a statement following a meeting with PCB representatives.
The decision means that around 7,500 ticketed spectators will be able to enter the National Stadium on match days, while around 5,500 will be able to attend each match day at Gaddafi Stadium.
