Proton is marketing the current generation Saga with new features throughout the country from the last six years. Now the firm decided to do something about its appearance in an attempt to reclaim market share.
According to sources, Proton will introduce an automatic version to the facelifted model, which dubbed the Premium S. A total of four options are available, including the standard manual, the standard automatic and the premium automatic.
The same naturally aspirated 1298cc 4-cylinder petrol engine with 95 horsepower and 120 Newton-meters of torque will use in all four models. The Standard manual transmission has a 5-speed manual gearbox, whereas all other transmissions have a 4-speed automatic.
Moreover, the price of the Proton Saga with new features may go up somewhat, although this has not yet guaranteed. According to sources, Proton has expected to unveil its new model next month, which states that production has already begun.
Due to long delivery periods and a lack of demand in Pakistan, Saga is still trying to gain traction in the market. However, a facelift may help the brand become more mainstream as the cheapest sedan in Pakistan.
