Princess Charlene is making a triumphant homecoming to Monaco

Princess Charlene arrived in Monaco on Monday after undergoing surgery in her native South Africa, a palace source said.

The 43-year-old princess from Zimbabwe was transported to hospital in Durban, South Africa, in September after falling from an ear, nose and throat infection.

An insider stated the operation went “extremely nicely.” She had surgery in August, but no details were provided.

Europe’s lifestyle publications have speculated wildly that the royal couple may divorce.

She has been in South Africa for much of the year, citing medical reasons, while media sources imply she is looking for a home.

After meeting Prince Albert II at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, she married him in 2011.

Soon after their wedding, rumours surfaced that Charlene had tried to flee on the eve of the wedding.

Some say she agreed to the ceremony only after the prince committed to an extravagant divorce payout if she chose to depart after all.

In January, she was seen with Albert in Monaco. On August 25, she shared photos of her family on Instagram.
