A person who knows a lot about the royal family says that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had planned to live in New Zealand before moving to the US in 2020.
Andrew Morton, a royal analyst and author, said Prince Harry always wanted to leave the royal family and saw Meghan as a way out.
“They (Harry and Meghan) considered living in New Zealand and discussed it with the Prime Minister, so they had a lot of future plans,” the author stated.
Morton continued, “I think Royal Harry saw Meghan as a way out because he’s charismatic but hates being a prince.” They didn’t have to leave the Royal Family, but they did.
Morton said the Queen tried to keep Harry and Meghan as senior royals by providing them with a significant role in the Commonwealth, but they chose the US.
