Prince Harry, Meghan Markle lost ‘key to Commonwealth’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly threw away the “key to the Commonwealth” given to them by Queen Elizabeth when they decided to move to the US in 2020.

Royal expert Andrew Morton said the Queen gave the Duke and Duchess of Sussex important royal positions, but it didn’t stop them from stepping down.

Morton said that Harry and Meghan were still talking to Oprah Winfrey six months after they got married.

“They considered a different path early on.” Prince Harry was named Youth Ambassador to the Commonwealth and given the keys to the first-class lounge.

Morton said, “This was the Queen’s way of saying, ‘You do the rest of the world.’ Allow William and Catherine to do the UK, where they’ll be Heads of State.'”
