KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen party chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday called on state institutions to convince Prime Minister Imran Khan to have a “great national dialogue” with opposition parties so that the country can move forward.

He also called on the Army Chief of Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa that the people of Karachi had high hopes for him and that despite his visit to the city after the recent rains, the situation of the metropolis had not improved.

Kamal said this during a press conference held at the PSP Pakistan House headquarters to announce that former Karachi administrator Rauf Akhtar Farooqi and a few others have joined the PSP.

He recalled that the country could not move forward under the prevailing conditions and that there was an urgent need for “politicians and institutions” to sit together and take policy decisions to make a plan for them. Next 20 years.

He claimed that the alliance of 11 opposition parties, the Pakistan Democratic Movement, held a public meeting in Karachi on October 18 during which the host Pakistan People’s Party “abused” state resources and brought people from inside Sindh. to increase the number of meeting participants.

“While we held a historic public meeting on November 8 with no government resources in one location.

“The PSP cannot leave Karachi like this. We would rather die for the sake of the city. We will be announcing our future course of action soon, ”he said, warning the government to pay immediate attention to the plight of the people or be prepared to face the wrath of people in their own neighborhood.

Regarding the prime minister’s 1.1 trillion rupee development plan for the metropolis, he said Karachi does not need any package other than its rights.

He said the PPP had earned Rs 8.3 billion as part of the National Finance Commission (NFC) award for the past decade, but the situation in Sindh, including Karachi, was in front of everyone. . “The PPP is responsible for the problems from Karachi to Kashmore,” he added.

Once again, he reaffirmed that the solution to Karachi’s problems was a transparent and correct census of the population, devolution of powers to the grassroots level in accordance with the 18th Amendment, the formation of a provincial finance commission on the model of the National Finance and Restoration Commission of Karachi as a district.

He said that due to the prevailing situation, people belonging to the ruling parties were disappointed. “The PSP has become the best and the only political alternative for the people. For those who want to reform and improve the situation of the country, PSP is the only option, ”he said.

PSP Chairman Anis Kaimkhani and other leaders, as well as those who had joined the party, including Farooqi, were also present.
