On Monday, Prime Minister Imran Khan called a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) to discuss national security issues.
Federal ministries and military leaders will be in attendance at the meeting, which will be presided over by the premier. The current situation in Afghanistan, as well as other concerns pertaining to national security, will be discussed in detail by the committee.
It is also expected that the committee would be updated on the general security situation in the country.
Pakistan recently held the 17th Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Afghanistan, which was attended by delegates from all over the world. This meeting aimed to unite Muslim countries together on the same page in order to assist this war-torn country in averting the approaching humanitarian crisis that was threatening the country.
