President Arif Alvi awarded Hilal-e-Pakistan to Bill Gates

Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft was presented with the Hilal-e-Pakistan award on Thursday by President Arif Alvi.

Members of the federal government, including Ministers Fawad Chaudhry, Faisal Sultan, and Shibli Faraz, were in attendance at the ceremony to honor the co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

He was honored with the Hilal-e-Pakistan award by President Arif Alvi in recognition of his achievements in eradicating polio from the country.

Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, met with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday during his one-day visit to the country.

There was a discussion on polio eradication and other issues during the meeting between the philanthropist and Prime Minister Imran Khan.

During his visit, the prime minister praised him for his assistance in the fight against polio in the country and informed him of the steps taken by the government to eradicate the paralyzing disease.


The Microsoft co-founder also praised Pakistan’s plan for dealing with the COVID pandemic and stated that their support with Pakistan in the fight against polio and COVID will continue.

Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, arrived in Islamabad on Thursday morning for a one-day visit. He landed at Nur Khan Airbase, where he was greeted by officials from the administration.
