The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) held a Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting on Monday (April 5) to discuss the mass withdrawal from the meeting proposed by the Pakistan Democratic Movement.
According to a PPP statement released on Friday, the meeting will be chaired by former President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the Bilawal Building in Karachi.
The PPP chairman instructed all PPC-KEK members to attend the meeting in person or via video link. According to sources, the PPP top leadership will decide to resign from the meeting.

The entire political situation in the country will also be discussed at the meeting, after which the media will be informed of the decisions taken by the CEC, the statement said.
Participants will also pay tribute to former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on the anniversary of his death. On the other hand, PPP leader Kamar Zaman Kaira said his party strives to jointly support the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and all issues will be fully discussed in the CEC meeting.
