Indian actress Poonam Pandey is in the headlines for the past few months because of her suspected participation in a pornographic investigation. After the arrest of Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra, Poonam’s name began to surface in the case.
The actress has now given immunity from arrest in connection with the case. The Supreme Court issued an order shielding actresses from arrest in connection with a suspected pornographic film scam. The model and actress Sherlyn Chopra has also named as a co-accused in the case. Many others are also facing trial in this case.
An appeal filed by Poonam Pandey against a Bombay High Court decision that dismissed her anticipatory bail application in investigation has dismissed. Whereas, a notice also issued to the Maharashtra government by court . The petitioner will not be subjected to any coercive measures during this time.
Poonam’s anticipatory bail application has denied by the Bombay High Court in November of last year. She appealed to the Supreme Court, arguing that the ruling of the Bombay High Court was unconstitutional. She stated in her plea that she was not an owner in any platforms she has accused of running.
