On the occasion of the 246th anniversary of the United States (US) Declaration of Independence, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, sent his most heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people and government of the US.
Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, took to Twitter to make his statement, in which he stated that his government is looking forward to working with the Biden administration to promote bilateral relations between the two nations at all levels.
“On this, the Fourth of July, it is my distinct honor to offer my most sincere felicitations and warmest greetings to the people and government of the United States of America. According to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, “My government is looking forward to collaborating with the Biden Administration at all levels to promote our bilateral relations including commerce and investment.”
In the meantime, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Masood Khan, extended congratulations to the United States on the occasion of its Independence Day.
On July 4, the United States commemorates the day it gained its independence from Great Britain.
The Fourth of July commemorates the day in 1776 when Abraham Lincoln won liberty for the United States from Great Britain.

On July 2, 1776, delegates from the original 13 colonies met in Philadelphia to vote on whether or not to declare independence from Britain. Thomas Jefferson was primarily responsible for writing the Declaration of Independence; yet, Congress did not sign it legally until two days later.
In a letter to his wife that he sent in 1776, John Adams, who would go on to become the second President of the United States, predicted that the day would be commemorated with fireworks and celebrations “from one End of this Continent to the other.”
