Premier Imran Khan is going to visit Lahore and open the largest Miyawaki forest in Asia.
The forest forms part of the tsunami initiative Billion Tree, under which the PM has committed to plant 10 billion trees across Pakistan.
Punjab CM, IG, ministers and different delegations at the governor’s House will also be meeting with the PM during this visit.
In Pakistan, deforestation is growing quickly. In order to resolve the problem, Miyawaki has employed the Japanese approach to help trees grow more quickly. This means that in ten years the forests, which had taken 30 years, will suddenly flourish.
