On a two-day official visit tomorrow (Thursday), Prime Minister Imran Khan is leaving for Uzbekistan.
In addition, Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Tashkent at the request of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyyev, accompanied by a high-level team consisting of Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and other cabinet members.
In addition to his cabinet colleagues, he will also be accompanied by several of Pakistan’s prominent businesspeople.
The first will address the inaugural business forum between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. The forum is attended by leading business leaders from Pakistan and Uzbekistan and the B2B.
The Joint Intergovernmental Commission (JIGC) and the inaugural session of the Joint Business Council (JBC) will also convene the sixth session of the two nations in Tashkent on 14 July 2021.
PM Khan will also participate at the international conference on “Regional Connectivity: Challenges and Opportunities in Central and Southern Asia,” invited by the Uzbek President. Ministers/high officials from Central and South Asian nations and other major countries, international organizations, international financial institutions, think tanks, and scientists will participate in the conference.
The PM will emphasize its goal of ‘Naya Pakistan,’ a Pakistan-wide positive peace and safety contribution and a transition from geopolitics to geoeconomics in the contacts he will take part in during his tour.
