PM Imran Khan announces New PTI Organizational Structure

Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is also the chairman of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), announced the new PTI organizational structure after dissolving all PTI bodies following a loss in the KPK local govt elections.


Fawad Chaudhry, the Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting, announced the news on SundayTwitter.


Asad Umar has been named secretary-general of the party, while Ali Haider Zaidi, Qasim Suri, Shafqat Mahmood, and Khusro Bakhtiar, Pervez Khattak have been named provincial chiefs of the party in Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, and Southern Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa respectively.

According to the minister, Aamir Mehmood Kiani has been appointed as the party’s extra secretary-general.

Following conversations with senior party leaders, Prime Minister Imran Khan dissolved the party setup, according to Fawad Chaudhry.

Fawad had told the media following a meeting of the PTI’s high leadership here that all of the party’s office-bearers had been dismissed from their positions, as the forum examined the KP LG elections and the country’s overall condition.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had expressed displeasure with the PTI’s performance in the first round of LG elections in KP and the distribution of tickets, according to the minister.

Fawad had previously stated that a 21-member constitutional committee comprised of national PTI leadership was working on the party’s new constitution.

Pervez Khattak, Mahmood Khan, Murad Saeed, Asad Qaiser, and Ali Amin Gandapur from KP, while Fawad, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Hammad Azhar, Khusro Bakhtiar, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, Saifullah Niazee, Amir Kayani, and Usman Buzdar from Punjab make up the team.

Similarly, he had stated that Balochistan would be represented by Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali and Qasim Suri, while Sindh would be represented by Imran Ismail and Ali Zaidi, and the federal capital would be represented by Asad Umar.

The minister stated that new PTI organizations would be formed following the permission of a committee comprised of senior members.

He had emphasized that PTI was Pakistan’s largest political party, with the status of a national federal party, and that Imran Khan was the federation’s leader, with supporters from Gwadar to Khyber and Karachi to Lahore.
