KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced on Sunday that the flight schedules of several flights were disrupted due to heavy fog in several cities across the country.
According to a Geo News report, a PIA spokesman said the flight schedules for various flights had to be changed after thick fog covered Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot and its surroundings.

The spokesman added that more flights were expected to be diverted due to fog.
“Domestic flights will resume as soon as the runway is visible,” the spokesman added. “On the other hand, international flights will land at alternative airports.”
Recently, fog and bad weather affected several flight and rail schedules across the country.

MET officials said the western waves were approaching the top and west of the country and could continue at the top through Monday. They estimate rain (snow falling on the hill) is expected in Gilgit Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper / Central Punjab, Islamabad and Kashmir.
Today 19 flights were canceled and 16 were delayed at Allama Iqbal International Airport. On December 8, several flights had to be canceled for the same reason.
