The PHA (Parks and Horticulture Authority) will build Asia’s biggest urban forest inspired by the Chinese Park miyawaki plantations technology, which Prime Minister Imran Khan will be formally launched on Wednesday 4 August.
Asif Mahmood, Chief Minister’s Advisor to Chief Tourism Officer Punjab, on Friday examined preparations for the largest urban forest of miyawaki in the Saggian China Park, where PHA Chief Executive Officer Jawad Ahmed informed him about the pace of beauty and building work on this site.
He informed that in an urban forest, more than eleven thousand trees were to be planted.
Advisor indicated that 51 urban forests projects in various sections of the city were successfully completed by PHA and the PHA started to work to discover new areas to build more urban forests in the provincial capital of this project.
He stated that this year there are also five urban woods completed and that 15 additional monsoon forests should be created. He added in these urban woods there are many types of shade and fruit trees.
Asif Mehmood continued to labor towards the creation of 15 additional miyawaki woods in the city by day and night. He complimented PHA efforts to ensure that Lahore was clean and green.
