The Peshawar High Court has dismissed a district judge, Syed Asghar Shah, from service after corruption charges against him were proved through investigation.
The court found that the accused failed to provide a satisfactory reply to the show-cause notice issued to him. It was revealed that an amount of Rs 12 million was recovered from the judge, with an additional Rs 3 million yet to be recovered.

The court ordered that the judge be dismissed from service in accordance with the Government Civil Servant Rules 2011 and ordered further proceedings to recover the embezzled funds.
