The Punjab Emergency Service (PES) (Rescue 1122) has been notified as to the administrative department of the Government of Punjab and is now being named the Punjab Emergency Department.
Consequently, the Punjab Gazette released this announcement amending the Rules of business on 23 June 2021.
This service received the status of an administrative department upon confirmation of the Act 2021 of the Chief Minister Punjab and the Punjab Emergency Service.
The Spreading Officer stated that after roughly 15 years of the formation of the Punjab Emergency Service, the Punjab Emergency Service Act 2021 offers the rescuer with a long-awaited service framework.
Moreover, this Act gives jurisdiction to the Director-General of the Punjab Emergency Service.
In the name of Punjab emergency services rescuers, the Special Adviser expressed his gratitude for the long-attended service structure and status of an administrative department that are essential for the efficiency and smooth running of this life-saving emergence, to Chief Minister Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar, Speaker Punjab Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi Chairpere, and members of the Provincial Assembly.
