In recognition of the Green Shirts’ historic World Cup triumph in 1992, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to commemorate the occasion with vigour and joy.
When Pakistan defeated England by 22 runs on March 25, 1992, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, they were the first Asian nation to win a World Cup since the 1930s. It was Pakistan’s first-ever appearance in a World Cup final, and they were ecstatic.
On March 25, the PCB announced that the trophy from the 1992 World Cup would be presented at Gaddafi Stadium to commemorate the momentous triumph over West Germany during that year’s tournament.
Photographs and selfies with the iconic trophy are authorised for cricket fans who wish to commemorate the occasion.

The locker rooms of Pakistan and Australia will be the recipients of the World Cup trophy from 1992, which will be delivered to them on Wednesday morning in the early session.
The PCB will make a slideshow of photographs from the 1992 World Cup final available to the general public on its website in the meanwhile.
