PCB appoints ex-badminton champion Tania Mallick as women’s cricket head

Tania Mallick, a former national badminton champion, has been appointed Head of Women’s Cricket by the PCB.

Tania has taken over for Urooj Mumtaz, who stepped down from his additional responsibilities in May in order to concentrate solely on selection matters.

Tania possesses a Master’s degree from the LUMS University, and she has represented Pakistan at the Asian Games in Seoul in 1986, as well as being the national champion in 1987-88.

As vice-president of the Punjab Olympic Association since 2010, she is also the vice-president of the Punjab Squash Association. She is also a member of the Pakistan Olympic Association’s Education and Women’s Commission, as well as the Pakistan Squash Association.

She has also worked in women’s development projects for the World Bank, in addition to her previous experience in international corporations.
