The PCB and the PSL franchises have agreed to host the seventh edition of the league in first two months of next year.
The development took place during a virtual meeting of PCB employees and the six PSL franchisors.
Both sides also discussed the path to a new cycle of commercial rights. They also set a framework for the evaluation of rights and subsequent sales.
PCB CEO Wasim Khan, COO Salman Nasir, PSL Senior General Manager Usman Wahla, Salman Iqbal from Karachi Kings, Sameen Rana from Lahore Qalandars, Haider Azhar from Multan Sultans and others attended.
A source familiar with the development said the seventh edition of the PSL will kick off in Karachi. Also adding that the league is likely to start in the first week of January 2021.
Cricket authorities are struggling to organize a seventh edition after PSL-6 failed due to COVID-19. PCB decided to arrange the remainder of the match in Abu Dhabi. But due to limitations and logistical problems, it was postponed many times.
