The Telecommunications Authority of Pakistan (PTA) announced that broadband users have to lay off up to 100 million people in the country on Saturday.
According to a statement from the Telecommunications Authority (PTA), 87% of the population has access to the Internet at the lowest price. Additionally, the average download speed is 17.7 Mbit / s and the upload speed is 11.3 Mbit / s.

However, global broadband test site Ookla, which released statistics for February, said average fixed broadband download speeds for Pakistan were 11.35 Mbps and upload speeds of 10.7 Mbps.
