They said a shipment containing 1.24 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine will arrive in Islamabad aboard a foreign plane on July 17 (tomorrow).
Pakistan received the first batch of British vaccines on May 8, sources at the Ministry of National Health said, adding that the country has so far received three shipments of various Covid vaccines under the Covax program.

Shipments include 1.62 million doses of Pfizer vaccine and 2.5 million doses of Moderna.
Covax has promised a free Covid vaccine for 20 percent of the country’s total population.
The sources also revealed that the AstraZeneca vaccine will be distributed to the provinces according to their needs, adding that it would be administered to people with chronic diseases and low immunity.
Furthermore, because the British vaccination has been approved by the US, as well as nations in Europe and the Middle East, it will be provided to anybody traveling abroad.
