National Security Advisor Moeed Yusuf stated Pakistan is unable to welcome additional afghan refugees.
He claimed that Pakistan was trying its utmost to avert additional bloodshed in Afghanistan in the Pakistan Embassy of Washington DC at a news conference. “However, the international community has a duty to provide safe refuge for displaced Afghans in that country such a scenario arises.”
The lawmaker arrived in the USA on the 21st of July to discuss Afghanistan and bilateral ties with American colleagues.
Yusuf remarked that all positive or negative occurrences have a direct bearing on Pakistan in Afghanistan. “We have great concerns about peace in the landlock country and that will not happen unless all sides agree to a political settlement.”
