Pakistan is monitoring the situation in Afghanistan says NSA Moeed Yusuf

On Monday, National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf said that Pakistan remains closely watchful over the situation in Afghanistan.

Two decades ago, Taliban established its control over the nation.

One day before, President Ashraf Ghani fled Afghanistan, admitting that the militants had won the conflict over 20 years.

The government’s staggering fast collapse and the Afghan Taliban‘s Sunday night occupation of Kabul’s presidential palace sparked dread and panic throughout the city.

Thousands of Afghans on Monday tried, while at the airport throngs, to flee Kabul amid scenes of mayhem.

The NSA added that Pakistan has worked to remove individuals from Kabul, the situation in Afghanistan is improved.

A separate cell has been established at the Interior Department to work 24 hours a day for this purpose.

He urged for the cell to be contacted by embassies of other nations in Pakistan.

The NSA said no country has made any declaration against Pakistan so yet. He said, “This is our success, not relying on rumours.

Yusuf added that the job of identifying a scapegoat continues, while India remains mute and no one has talked about Pakistan.

Yusuf stated that Kabul had been taken far sooner than anticipated by the Taliban.

Pakistan would facilitate visas for the people of all nations in Kabul that are stranded, the national security adviser said, emphasising that Pakistan wants law enforcement and human rights implementation.
