Pakistan exports increased by 16.44 percent in the first month of the current fiscal year (2021-22) compared to the same month last year, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Monday.
According to PBS statistics, the country’s exports amounted to $2.330 billion in July 2021, up from $2.001 billion in July 2020, or a 16.44 percent increase.
Imports increased by 47.90 percent during the month under review, rising from $3.674 billion in July 2020 to $5. In July 2021, the total will be $434 billion.

According to the statistics, the trade deficit for the month was $3.104 billion, representing an increase of 85.53 percent over the deficit of $1.673 billion recorded in July 2020, according to the PBS data.
Meanwhile, exports from the country fell 14.59 percent month on month in July 2021, compared to exports of $2.728 billion in June 2021.
Similarly, imports entering the nation fell 14.45 percent in July 2021, compared to imports of $6.352 billion in June 2021, according to PBS statistics.
