Pakistan Embassy Social Media Accounts in Algeria Hacked

According to a Foreign Office official on Wednesday, several social media accounts affiliated with Pakistan’s embassy in Algeria were hacked.

“The Pakistani Embassy in Algeria’s social media accounts, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, have been hacked,” a spokesman for the embassy announced through Twitter.


“Any messages uploaded through these accounts are not from the Pakistan Embassy in Algeria,” he continued.

According to sources, the Instagram account of the Pakistani embassy in Argentina was hacked in December.

It was reported to Instagram that the Pakistani Embassy’s Instagram account had been hacked, according to a Foreign Office spokesperson who tweeted the news on Friday. In order for you to be informed that all communications made through this account are not from the embassy of Pakistan in Argentina, the following information has been provided.

According to sources, the official Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts of Pakistan’s embassy in Serbia had been hacked before that incident.
