According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, following the horrible lynching incident in Sialkot, the Pakistan Army on Wednesday unequivocally declared “zero tolerance for such elements” and vowed to completely eradicate extremism and terrorism from the country.
In the 245th Corps Commanders’ Conference, which took place at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi under the chairmanship of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, participants looked at the global, regional, and domestic security environments, as well as the future of the military.
According to a statement released by the military’s media wing, the participants expressed satisfaction with border security efforts, while the COAS emphasised the importance of keeping a high level of vigilance to guard against any threat.

According to the statement, in response to the escalating humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, the COAS stated that continued support and timely international humanitarian assistance are essential for not only the peace and prosperity of Afghanistan, but also the stability of the entire region.
When asked about the army’s current training activities, Gen Bajwa expressed satisfaction with the results, noting that objective evaluation of doctrine and training is important to evolve and confront rising difficulties in a technologically driven future battlefield.
