According to sources, Pakistan and Tajikistan have agreed to increase their efforts to complete the CASA 1000 project as quickly as possible. The developments took place during a meeting in Dushanbe between Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
During the meeting, in-depth analysis of bilateral relations, it was decided to improve relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan in all dimensions.
It was agreed to work together to increase trade, investment, cooperation in energy, aviation, roads, and railways, and the initial completion of the CASA 1000 project.

Finance Minister Qureshi stressed Pakistan’s constructive contribution to the Afghanistan peace process in a regional sense. He hopes the Afghan countries will use this historic opportunity to create long-term peace and stability in Afghanistan and the region.
President Rahmon was invited to Pakistan by Prime Minister Imran Khan, said Finance Minister Kureshi. The President kindly expressed his wish to start the journey as soon as possible
