Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Reza Baqir, said on Friday that overseas Pakistanis deposited more than $ 480 million in Roshan digital accounts.
Moreover, the SBP governor said that more than 86,000 foreign Pakistanis from 97 countries had opened their Roshan digital accounts.
Due to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s instructions, the NBP launched the Roshan digital account initiative to facilitate refugees from Pakistan.
Moreover, he said, “I want to thank our great heritage, the overseas Pakistanis. MashaAllah funds sent by them through #RoshanDigitalAccounts created by SBP exceeded $ 200 million yesterday.” he said.
“He also said this is appreciating that the first $ 100 million came in 76 days and the next $ 100 million in just 28 days, ” he wrote on his official Twitter address.
