Oscars 2022 show will be hosted at Dolby Theatre again

The Academy Awards have been held without a host since 2018 but broadcaster announced that Oscars 2022 show will be hosted at the Dolby Theatre. ABC Entertainment President announced at a Television that this year’s ceremony will have a host. He didn’t go into any depth. He jokingly said, “It might be me.”

An increase in Covid cases has forced the postponement of previous awards events but broadcaster has announced the ceremony. The highest cinematic honours of Oscars 2022 show will still held on March 27 in Los Angeles.

In 2019, 2020, and 2021, the Oscars had handed out by celebrity presenters but without a host. There has been a steady decline in the audience for this programme in recent years. It has expected to reach a new low of 10.4 million viewers in the US in 2021. There has been a fall in the number of people tuning in to other award events as well.

There have been previous hosts including Jimmy Kimmel, Chris Rock, and Ellen DeGeneres. According to an announcement from broadcaster, The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood will host the Oscars once more in 2022. In order to defend against Covid, last year’s awards held at the historic Union Station railway station in Los Angeles.

The Academy Awards nominations will release on February 8th, 2022.
