After a string of leaks and jokes, Oppo Find X3 Pro fully announced its flagship product in 2021. The Find X3 Pro is a shiny and powerful phone with an odd design and some unique features.
It is also an important device for Oppo, which recently took over Huawei in the Chinese smartphone market. This year will try to take advantage of its competitors’ problems.
The most interesting visual element of the Find X3 Pro is the camera effect, which looks almost organic as it rises smoothly from the same piece of glass as the back of the rest of the phone.
Combined with the coating, which is aggressive and shiny on my device, this phone looks like it has been forged from molten metal in the Terminator 2 style.
The camera system itself is no less strange. It has a main camera and an ultra wide camera, both of which use a 1 / 1.56-inch 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor. This means that the image quality must be comparable for the two, although we need to see how this works in practice.

There’s also a 3 megapixel microlens that shouldn’t be confused with the useless macro cameras found on some phones these days.
Oppo claims 60X magnification and is more like a microscope than a macro lens. For example, you can capture a sub-pixel layout on the screen and even use ring lights to illuminate the subject.
