Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi rejected Interior Minister Shaikh Rasheed’s plea for the installation of governor rule in Sindh.
As Qureshi put it, “There has never been a plan to impose governor control in Sindh and there will never be a plan.” He went on to explain that Prime Minister Imran Khan had been advised not to take such a step by the PTI’s political committee.
As the PTI vice-chairman put it, “Saeed Ghani and Bilawal do not need to be concerned because we do not have such a plan.”
Following the premier’s meeting with interior minister Sheikh Rasheed one day earlier, Sheikh Rasheed requested that he take measures to prevent “horse-trading” from going place in the Sindh Assembly.
