Nawazuddin Siddiqui refused ‘Sacred Games’

Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently revealed that he had initially turned down the opportunity to star in his most anticipated web series, Sacred Games.

Nawaz went to the master class session that is currently taking place at the IFFI (International Film Festival), where he told a variety of stories about his life and the times when he was having trouble. During the course of the discussion, he admitted that he had turned down the opportunity to star in Anurag Kashyap’s Sacred Games series.

The actor known for Kick revealed the following: “When I was first approached for Sacred Games, I refused to do it. I had a little understanding of OTT services, so I was under the notion that it was a television series. We used to remark, “Ye OTT kya hai, OTT koun karta hai?” I was informed that the series will go live and be available to stream simultaneously in more than 190 countries around the world. But it didn’t grab my curiosity at all.”

He also allegedly disclosed to ETimes that Anurag was the one who persuaded him to participate in the series. But Anurag Kashyap didn’t give up, and he managed to persuade me to carry out the plan. He showed me a map on which lights had been turned on in 190 different countries, and he stated, “That’s right, that light has been turned on in all of those locations; from now on, we’ll be continuing this series.” He then pointed to the lights on the map. It was at that point that I decided to participate in the sacred games.
