Shiba Inu Surpasses Bitcoin and Ether to Become 2021’s Most Popular Crypto Coin

Dog-themed coin Shiba Inu was named the most popular cryptocurrency on international market tracker CoinMarketCap, overtaking Bitcoin, Ether, and Dogecoin, to become the most popular crypto coin on the platform in 2021. Moreover Shiba Inu is the twelfth most valuable cryptocurrency, valued at approximately $20 billion (about Rs. 1,50,120 crore). In one week in October, the SHIB token soared by almost 216 percent, reaching an all-time high of $0.000088. (roughly Rs. 0.0066). Currently, SHIB tokens are worth $0.00003823. (roughly Rs. 0.0029).

According to CoinMarketCap’s “2021 Wrap Up” tweet, Shiba Inu has followed by Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Cardano, and Ethereum on the popularity index. However as of October 25, the meme coin was the 11th-largest cryptocurrency coin by market value, according to WatcherGuru. Additionally SHIB adoption has recently gained momentum.

After adding $1.5 million (about Rs. 11.26 crore) in Shiba Inu tokens to its balance sheet, Ask The Doctor, a Canadian online medical service provider, said on December 3 that it will begin accepting Shiba Inu from its partners as a payment option. Also AMC, a US movie theatre company, is considering accepting Shiba Inu tokens as payment.

ICO Analytics claims that SHIB tokens were the most popular cryptocurrency on Twitter at the beginning of the year. Earlier this month, Kraken and Bitpay are additional foreign exchanges to have featured the Shiba Inu coin on their systems.

According to CoinMarketCap, 1,090,840 wallet addresses own Shiba Inu, with 14,645 of those being active. Moreover 447 exchanges throughout the world deal in the coin.
