Mortal Kombat 11 Will Not Get New Characters

The announcement has published on the game's official Twitter account yesterday.

Mortal Kombat 11 has released a few years ago and players are constantly giving new DLC and characters. Not anymore, say the developers at NetherRealm. Now they are concentrating on their next unnamed project and leaving MK11.

“The Mortal Kombat 11 DLC goes to several interesting locations, including not only characters from the old game, but also Robocop, Terminator T-800, and John Rambo. He also brought together all the DLC in the Ultimate Edition.”

NetherRealm hasn’t said what their “next project” is yet, but people’s best guess centers on their other fighting series, Injustice, with DC Comics. NetherRealm has owned by Warner Bros., which also owns DC. The newest game in the series, Injustice 2, has the same love affair as the DLC characters, adding Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, among others.

Brandon was the last fight we had in RPS and he had a lot of positive words on Mortal Kombat 11. While there were concerns about the crunch terms (crunch?) the game has said to have created.
