More than 5 000 coronavirus positive tests proceed unabated in Pakistan

The third wave of the coronavirus has further strengthened its strength in the country. More than 5,000 tested positive for the virus as of Saturday, according to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC).

Eighty-one people died from the coronavirus on Saturday, including 74 in the hospital and seven outside of the hospital, according to the NCOC.

About 5,022 people tested positive for the virus as of Saturday, according to the NCOC. The total number of active cases in the country rose to 60,070 on April 4. Pakistan conducted 55,608 tests on April 3.

So far, 613,057 people have recovered from the virus, while the death toll has risen from 81 to 14,778 with a new number.
