According to the Health Ministry, a total of 27,842 health care providers in the province. That is vaccinated against Covid-19 since February 3 when they started driving.
Vaccination kits continued in 12 centers prepared for this purpose.
According to the department, the total number of health workers in the province is 175,000. And of whom 54,000 identified by the department as “frontline health workers”.
” We are achieving our target. Those engaged in coronavirus related duties are getting the report on a priority basis. But the department is vaccinating other healthcare personnel as well,” said Atif Vigio, a health ministry representative.
He said the provincial government hoped another 25,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. That will send from the federal ministry in the coming days.
When asked about vaccinating private health workers, he said the department vaccinated both private and public workers. Despite supplying 11,900 doses of vaccine to two private hospitals upon request.

“The Liaquat National Hospital and the Aga Khan University Hospital are vaccinating their staff with the doses provided by the department. The drive is continuing successfully with the staff’s cooperation and no serious side effects have so far been reported from anywhere.”
So far, 32 percent of the province’s 85,000 health workers has vaccinated.
Number of health workers vaccinated at the Maternal Health Center
According to the Ministry of Health, 5,076 health workers have been vaccinated at the Maternal Health Center, Shaheed Benazirabad, followed by Liaquat University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Jamshoro (3,738), Sindh Government Hospital, Korangi No. 5 (2351), Thaddo Nalo Hospital, Malir (2049), Ouha University Dau Campus Hospital (2635), Aga Khan University Hospital (1,277), Qatar Sind Govt Hospital, Orangi (2823), Sind Gov Hospital- Liaquatabad (1,354), Sindh Government Hospital, Nova Karachi 808), Sindh Government Children’s Hospital, North Nazimabad (811), Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (1,694) and Khaliqdina Hall, Saddar (3,226).
It may be remembered that the federal government handed over 84,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine to the Sindh government – part of the half a million doses the Chinese government donated to Pakistan. Each person receives two doses of the vaccine every 21 days.
