Mohammad Rizwan sets a new record for the most T20 runs scored in a calendar year

In T20 International cricket, Mohammad Rizwan established a global record for most times throughout a calendar year. The opener has already amassed 752 runs in 2021 in 15 matches (14 innings), a stunning 94.00 average and 140.03.

This year, Mohammad Rizwan has smashed 7 50s and 1’s. The previous record was held by Ireland’s Paul Stirling when he totaled 748 runs in 20 innings in 2019, averaging 41.55.

The ranking is followed by Kevin O’Brien of Ireland (729 in 2019) and Maxwell O’Dowd of the Netherlands (702 in 2019). Next to the total are Shikhar Dhawan from India (689 by 2018) and Virat Kohli (641 by 2016).
