Mj Rodriguez from ‘Pose’ is the only transwoman to win Golden Globes 2022

Mj Rodriguez is a star cast of the Netflix origional series ‘Pose‘ in which she played the title character as Blanca Evangelista. She has become the first black transgender woman to win a Golden Globe Award 2022 in history. She achieved this landmark in category of ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series-Drama’.

In honour of her historic victory, Mj Rodriguez turned to her Instagram account and shared a sweet message with her Pose followers.

“@goldenglobes – OMG OMGGG!!!! – OMG OMGGG – OMG OMGGG – OMG OMGGG – OMG OMGGG – OMG OMGGG – OMG OMGGG – Wow! That nasty birthday present you’re referring to? Thank you very much! This is the gateway that will open the door for a slew of other young, smart folks in the future. They will come to realise that it is more than feasible.”

The Golden Globes 2022 have presented in a private ceremony this year. A string of scandals and controversies marred the show’s image in recent years.

Throughout the evening, awards have given out and posted on social media to commemorate the occasion. The most awards given to films such as ‘The Power of the Dog’ and ‘West Side Story’, which had the most nominations.
